The most surprising part for me about my budget was the price of staying in a two person dorm. It was over a thousand dollars! I expected the cost to be more around the price of a normal apartment. Maybe $600 dollars a month. Whenever the time comes for me to be on my own like this, I will be ready for it, but right now, I am not ready for all of this. I am not saying I couldn't do it if I had to, but I don't want to rush into it all. I am still trying to enjoy what's left of my childhood. I don't think the responsibility will be an issue for me though. I did realize that I need to start learning to be smart with my money and maybe even start setting money aside for the future. To prepare for that, I can buy a mountain bike and things like that now with my parents' money so that I can save money. Just kidding. I will probably just try and learn more about budgeting. #collegetransition

I don't think you have to pay for your room and board per month, that goes along with what you pay after graduate. It's impossible to work to earn enough money to pay for all that, do your studying, and sleep! It would be good to learn more about how money works and the best ways to spend it that you are more prepared for when the time comes.
ReplyDeleteBeing smart with your money can help you tremendously when paying expenses, such as saving and spending money on important things. College is just around the corner (maybe 2 corners) and we need to prepare ourselves when budgeting our finances, such as through college transition.
DeleteI agree with you when you said that you didn't want to rush into it all because you wanted to enjoy childhood and I think that is the best thing to do especially when you are getting older. Yeah, and starting to save up money now is a great thing to do because you will obviously need it in your future
ReplyDeletei agree with u on how you said its not our time to go yet so we shouldn't rush in to this stuff and how we should just enjoy our childhood while we can but starting to save money now will help a lot for when the time comes.
ReplyDeleteI am in the same pickle. I am very bad with the way i spend my money. It would be great if we learned to manage our money wisely.
